FRA Call for Candidates:
The FRA Board of Directors is looking for energetic people willing to devote some time to the promotion of racquetball in Florida.  Join the FRA Board of Directors and help promote “your” sport.
 In February 2005, at the State Singles Championships, the Annual membership meeting will be held.. At this meeting, results of elections will be announced.  If you are interested in serving on the Board of Directors, please send a letter stating your interest to Board Member, Ross Greenberg at: rgreenberg@cohengreenberg.com
Please address the following in your letter: Your racquetball experience (playing, promotions, teaching…) and a paragraph on “Why I want to be an FRA Board Member”.

Player of the Year nominations: 
Player of the Year nominations:  Nominations are currently being  taken for FRA player of the year awards. Awards will be awarded in the following categories: Open - Male and Female, Age - Male and Female, Skill - Male and Female, Junior - Male and Female, Most improved and Sportsmanship.

October 9th. Board of directors planning meeting::
On Saturday the FRA Board of directors held a planning meeting in Orlando from 11:00 AM until 4:00 PM.  Attending members were: Karen Bouchard, Laura Brandt, Randy Forrest, Mary Lyons, Guy Meadows and Andy Pawlowski.  Jean Trimble also attended as an observer and contributed to all discussions.  It was a long meeting but productive meeting that  focused on how the board will do business.  Items of discussion included Communication and Teamwork, Board Member Commitments and Responsibilities and Growing the Sport.  Please note that the Board Members are volunteers.  A special thanks to Randy Forrest for providing the meeting facilities.
